Check Clearing Volume and Value In September, the number of checks cleared totaled 4.0 million, representing a month-on-month increase of 0.66%. The total value of checks cleared amounted to NT$1.02 trillion, a month-on-month decrease of 3.99%. (see attached table). II. Dishonored Checks Due to Insufficient Funds In September, the gross number of dishonored checks due to insufficient funds totaled 3,271, accounting for 0.08% of the total number of checks cleared, the same as in the previous month.
