Discover HaDEA-managed projects on cybersecurity funded by the Digital Europe Programme

October is an important month for cybersecurity awareness across Europe, thanks to the European Cybersecurity Month (ECSM), a campaign to raise awareness of the importance of cybersecurity, encourage best practices and provide resources to help individuals and organisations stay safe online. According to a Eurobarometer survey, three in four employees in the EU have encountered suspicious emails, messages or links at work. This finding, together with the results of phishing simulations and the growing number of phishing attempts, underlines the need to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and skills across all sectors.

The Digital Europe Programme (DIGITAL) drives investment in strategic digital capacities, including cybersecurity. HaDEA, the European Health and Digital Executive Agency, plays a key role in managing part of the funding and ensuring that projects contribute effectively to the EU's digital ambitions.

Among the initiatives funded by HaDEA, advanced digital skills projects, Safer Internet Centres and European Digital Innovation Hubs stand out for the high-quality services, tools and training opportunities they provide. Here are some examples.

Advanced digital skills projects in cybersecurity offer specialised training, master's degree programmes and sector-specific upskilling opportunities. Under the umbrella of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy, several EU-funded projects are helping to address Europe's cybersecurity skills gap.

AKADIMOS supports the Cybersecurity Skills Academy by establishing a platform to collect, structure and update cybersecurity curricula, including training courses and professional certifications developed through other EU-funded projects.

CADMUS offers a wide range of training opportunities, including bootcamps, games, secure coding courses and cybersecurity crisis leadership training.
