Foreign Minister Valtonen to meet Danish Foreign Minister Rasmussen in Helsinki
Minister for Foreign Affairs Elina Valtonen will meet Denmark’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Lars Løkke Rasmussen in Helsinki on 28 October. Among other topics, the ministers will discuss support for Ukraine.
“Denmark is an important Nordic partner and ally for Finland, and our cooperation is very close and intensive. It is always valuable to exchange views with Denmark on current issues and discuss continued strong support for Ukraine”, says Minister Elina Valtonen.
Following their meeting, the ministers will attend a hearing of foreign ministers at the Nordic Council plenary session, which will take place during the 78th Session of the Nordic Council in the Finnish Parliament. The guest speaker at the hearing will be Ukraine’s Minister for Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha.
This year, Denmark holds the Presidency of the Nordic Council of Ministers and chairs the Nordic (N5) cooperation on foreign and security policy.
